Demolition was approved by the UC Regents, as Tolman Hall has a seismic rating of deficient and obsolete building systems which make a renovation financially unfeasible. In summer 2018, the building was vacated to resolve any risk to interior occupants.
This project demolished the building and provided basic site restoration. The area of the building footprint will be graded and left as open space for a future university building project. Landscaping will be restored, storm water management features incorporated and damaged sidewalks repaired/replaced.
