Capital Strategies' real estate office assists the campus in meeting its needs for facilities through the construction of new buildings via third-party developers or donor development, purchasing real property, and leasing space in commercial buildings. They manage a property portfolio that totals more than 700,000 square feet. Our real estate office also leases UC Berkeley facilities, both on- and off-campus, to non-university tenants.

Campus Filming Program

Capital Strategies administers the Campus Filming Program for commercial film shoots conducted on UC Berkeley property by outside companies, including: movies, television, commercials, and still photography.

Facility Use Permits

Short-form license for very limited use of a facility, such as an off-site classroom rental, use of meeting space, or rental of an athletic facility.
