A scoping session helps notify the public that a lead agency (in this case, UC Berkeley) is evaluating a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and to solicit public comment regarding the type and extent of environmental analyses to be undertaken.
As a result of the expanding outbreak of COVID-19 and restrictions placed on in-person gatherings throughout the State of California, on August 24, UC Berkeley will host an online public scoping session for the Clark Kerr Campus Beach Volleyball Complex project, rather than an in-person event. From 5:30 PM to 7 PM on August 24, via live video feed, the university will provide a brief presentation about the proposed Clark Kerr Campus Beach Volleyball Complex project. Immediately following, staff will read aloud public comments submitted to date regarding the type and extent of environmental analyses to be undertaken.
A recording of the live-stream will be made available afterward on the Capital Strategies YouTube channel.
