A scoping session helps notify the public that a lead agency (in this case, UC Berkeley) is evaluating a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and to solicit public comment regarding the type and extent of environmental analyses to be undertaken. As a result of the expanding outbreak of COVID-19 and restrictions placed on in-person gatherings throughout the State of California, on April 27, UC Berkeley will host an online public scoping session, rather than an in-person event.
From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m on April 27, via a live video feed, the university will provide a brief presentation about the proposed Long Range Development Plan Update project. Immediately following, staff will read aloud public comments submitted to date.
